Gridded Canadian historical climate data

Description:

This dataset utilizes an established method for generating gridded climate data from in-situ weather/climate station data. It is actively maintained/updated by NRCan and is currently widely used as the basis for national-scale climate analyses, as well as forming a primary input to many downscaled historical and future climate datasets. A (dated) description of the approach used to generate this dataset is available at: https://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/pdf/10.1175/2011BAMS3132.1
