About Our Curators

Jeremy Fyke:
Jeremy has over 15 years of experience in climate science, applied climate services, and environmental consulting. He has extensive experience with climate model development, evaluation, and use, and interpretation of large climate datasets for the service of practical decision making. He has a PhD in climate science, and is a content contributor, contributing author and expert reviewer to multiple United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports. He lives in Vernon, British Columbia, and works for Environment Canada.

Denise Neilsen:
Denise has decades of experience British Columbia specific climate research. She has extensive experience with Okanagan climate monitoring efforts, historical and future Okanagan climate change datasets, and climate change impacts on Okanagan stakeholders. Denise spent many years as Research Scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Summerland Research Station, where she managed research programs assessing climate impacts on regional crops, water and nutrient management. Denise is currently the Chair of the Okanagan Water Stewardship Council.

Lawrence Bird:
Lawrence works for Associated Environmental Consultants, Inc.
